A collection of utilities written by myself (with one exception). A mixture of C++ programs and spreadsheets. I'll be updating some of these into OpenOffice spreadsheets as time and need dictates.

 

Loudspeaker Utilities

Closed Box Loudspeaker Designer - No graphics!, but some useful data.

Loudspeaker Vent Designer - Calculate vent length.*

Minimum Vent Size Box Frequency Response - Use to find how low you need to tune for a given displacement and vent diameter, hence the smallest vent possible. Also gives length required.

Linkwitz Transform EQ - Calculate component values for a Linkwitz Transform.

Loudspeaker Box Designer - Spreadsheet to give you panel sizes and cutting list for a given box volume.*

Loudspeaker Toolkit - Spreadsheet to assist with the measurement of Thiele-Small parameters. See my guide in the Articles section!*

* Open with OpenOffice V3.0 or later. Note that MS Office does not open OpenDocument files correctly and the formulas will be replaced by numerical values.

 

Electronics Utilities

2nd-order High Pass Filter Designer - Calculate component values.

2nd-order Low Pass Filter Designer - Calculate component values.

Amplifier PSU Calculator - Calculate what rails you need for a power amp and also the transformer.*

Audio Signal Generator - Simple program to generate sine waves. Contributed by Rohit Balkishan.

Macros - My component library for Sprint-Layout PCB software. Copy the file to your Macros directory then extract using any ZIP software. Last update 27-Oct-2016.
